I've been M.I.A. the past week because honestly, summer classes have a lot of required reading! Wah. But, good news is that I'm getting my job back this summer at Ulta, where I will be SURROUNDED by makeup! Sigh, my passion :} 

One more summer of retail work before the real world? 'Das okay with me! I wonder if I could work for a makeup company with a law degree.. 

Anyways, here is what I've been procrastinating with! The hugging part isn't until half-way through. It's so flippin' cute.

Pet Peeve - Belt Purse

Listen "belt purse", you don't fool me for a minute. Giving this travesty a new name and hoisting it up higher on the waist does NOT change the fact that THEY'RE TRYING TO BRING BACK FANNY PACKS!

Gag-aroni and cheese. First, they tell me that these "flatforms" are all the rage. Platform sandals? Really? Alright, they were pretty cool when I was nine and imitating Baby Spice. But FANNY PACKS?! No. In the name of fashion, I would rather carry one of those heinous bags that were shaped like corsets!

Uh huh. That's saying something.

Just say no to the belt purse. And someone tell these fashion designers to chill with the 90's trends! What's next -- biker shorts?!

Colorblock me baby!

Hiya pretties! Okay so, not gonna lie, I'm not a huge fan of bright colors on my face. However, after peacock turquoise wasn't lookin' too bad, I decided to start experimenting! Some lime green here, some orange-y lipstick there... la la la. Here's the clincher : I only had to use one palette for my shadow, blush, and lip color! 

Dun dun dun! Behold the ultimate summer makeup! 

Cover Girl Tropical Fusion Shadow - $4.84

That lovely coral is the exact blush/lip color I've been searching for! And I've had this quad for what... a year? Just dabbed some of that coral on my lips and finished with gloss to keep it from getting powder-y and yuck. 

For a more casual look, I'll probs skip the lime green and just wear the turquoise as liner with the coral blush. Ohhh-kay, and the lips too :) why not, right? These colors scream sun-kissed to me! XO

Rachel McAdams DID The Damn Thing!

Gah, Rachel McAdams, how I love thee. Ever since she switched places with a man in The Hot Chick, and bitched out Li-Lo in Mean Girls, it's been adoration nonstop. But did anyone spot Rach at the premiere of her latest flick, Sleeping Beauty?

Rach looks SO fetch in her Monique Lhuillier high-waisted pants and sequined corset. Way to divert from the gown norm with this feminine take on menswear! She tops off the nude look with a Ferragamo clutch and a shiny pile of diamond bracelets. 

 I also love how she embraces her natural skin tone. Bronzing pressures are on the rise (AHEM, Pippa Middleton), but Rach is cool and collected with her blonde hair and fair skin. This gives me hope that one day I'll stop slathering on the tanning lotion and opt for some bright red lipstick to give me my glow!

Now, now, now.. don't be misled! I'm still happily kissin' my beau every day, but I have a good friend who just dumped her guy. :( Whether you're the dumper or the dumped, breaking up sucks! Especially, when you're driving in the car by yourself and THAT song comes on that reminds you of him.
